The solution incorporates fully automated, accurate and reliable Data Acquisition combined with the novel idea of virtual cloud-based agents, which analyse operational or engineering processes and provide useful feedback in the form of analysis, conclusions and event detection reported to multiple users.

Job Description
Our cloud infrastructure receives IoT data from thousands of sensors, 3rd party data from multiple providers and other external systems by leveraging a microservice architecture build with AKS on Azure. As a data engineer you will collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to maintain and utilize our data assets. The role includes the following responsibilities:
• Design, develop and operate scalable, resilient data ingestion pipelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders to further enhance our data assets and develop the data architecture
• Implement and optimize the data models
• Actively perform code reviews and ensure code quality and best practices
• Develop monitoring solutions and ensure data quality
• Stay up to date on data engineering technologies and best practices

Requirements
The minimum technical requirements for the Data Engineer position are:
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years working experience in a similar position
• Strong knowledge of Database Systems and Data Modeling (RDBMS/NoSQL/Timeseries)
• Prior experience using Data Streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming)
• Confidence with Spark or similar Big Data Frameworks
The following qualifications will be considered an asset:
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and containerization concepts
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana or similar monitoring solutions
• Experience with automated build systems such as Jenkins
• Familiarity with an Agile Development Methodology (Scrum)
