At Posidonia Events 2026, Metis CEO Panos Theodossopoulos participated in Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore’s seminar, joining industry leaders for the panel discussion “From compliance to performance: How digitalization in Class is reshaping shipping.”

A key theme of the panel was the shift from compliance-driven processes to a more proactive, performance-oriented model. Rather than treating compliance as an endpoint, the discussion highlighted how data, digital tools, and emerging technologies are enabling continuous visibility into asset condition and operational health.

Panellists discussed how improved data accessibility and advanced analytics are helping stakeholders move towards more informed decision-making, supporting better risk management, enhanced efficiency, and stronger overall vessel performance.

Metis CEO Panos Theodossopoulos contributed perspectives on the role of data and artificial intelligence in enabling this shift, emphasising the importance of transforming operational information into actionable insights that support more informed and proactive decision-making processes.

Metis would like to thank Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore for organising this engaging discussion, as well as all fellow panellists for their valuable insights and contributions to the dialogue.
